emergency wheat flour

First let me say i don't bake often, but i want to. i wanted to be healthier in the grocery store and bought a five pound bag of wheat (graham) flour thinking it would be ok in my cookies, but now all the recipes call specifically for white flour. would it ruin the cookies to use this flour or should i go back to the store?
