Elmendorf, the small baking shop in Inman Square, Cambridge, has reopened for next day curbside pick up orders. They will also deliver within three miles. Details here:
This is the first day, they may change the procedure/days/hours so look for updates.
They have King Arthur all purpose and bread flour, as well as flours and corn from small New England farms that they grind to order. As well as lots of very interesting baking products, cookbooks, and tools at reasonable prices.
I haven't found any Boston area store who has any flour but coconut or other nut flours, either visiting Whole Foods in person or checking online supplies for stores that deliver. Even King Arthur Flour web site is out of stock on most items. I called at 10:05 when they opened for phone orders and just got a call back around 2 pm from the nice co owner, who told me that KA's issue is the facility that bags it in home-size quantities. Of course I couldn't help but take advantage of the opportunity to order a few more things as well. Right now for food take out they are offering their amazing chocolate chip cookies and hot cross buns.
So....a pick up from them could be combined with a pick up from Sarma (we've enjoyed several take out orders from them) or Formaggio Kitchen or somewhere else if you plan ahead.
