We had dinner here a few nights ago. At 7pm it was very noisy and crowded, an hour later the din was deafening and the place was packed out. The clientele was what some might think of as stereotypical Upper East Side...tons of Botox, lots of combovers..lots of air kissing, et etc. But the service was quite good, friendly and efficient. And the food: one of the best meals I have eaten in the area. Started with a plate of carpaccio drizzled with truffle oil (waiter recommended that instead of salsa verde topping). Main course was the grilled shrimp special...six heads on perfectly grilled shrimp that were very very sweet...from Ecuador. Mains came with well prepared steamed stringbeans. My companions had the green salad (good meslun but for $11. I would skip it!!!!) followed by either grilled fish or, in one case, a special of chicken with sausage and peppers. Desserts were well-prepared versions of typical fare: creme brulee, cheesecake, etc. The place is expensive and noisy but if you need something in the area you can count on a good meal. Bill with three courses and one drink and one coffee each came to about $65. per person.
