Do Electric Caramelizing Irons Exist in the US?

I know a French pastry chef who has one and it's amazing for pastries that need to be caramelized on top. They're so much more consistent than a torch and plug into the wall so the heat stays steady. I've been searching but can't seem to find any available in the US. Has anybody else ever seen one or heard of them? Is this just not a thing Americans use? Are they called something else? I want one so bad!
