Santa Monica and Virgil is not exactly a perfect location. There's a lot of vehicular traffic, but unless you know about the parking lot behind the building, it's easier to just drive by.
But I always see the griller out there with his chickens. So I stopped... in the parking lot.
He cooks on real mesquite that comes in big bags stacked behind the grill. And you can taste it. The burritos aren't huge, but the flavor makes up for the size. Both the chicken and carne asada burritos exude that smoky flavor that you just don't get if you don't cook the meat this way.
Now this is going to be a regular stop.
