Sad to report that the little Cuban place El Rincon is gone, but there is a new (at least to me) kid on the block - a Mexican tacos bar called El Trompo (I think that's the name, I didn't write it down). It is located just a bit south from La Palette on the east side of Augusta. The menu has a very large selection of home made tacos and quesadillas, including the traditional corn quesadilla. We had a corn quesadilla with molten cheese and mushrooms, and tacos (they are served in groups of 4) with pork and cheese. Both very tasty, very fresh tasting (each $5-6). The place also has traditional Mexican drinks - I had one made with milk and vanilla and it was very yummy. Nice hot sauces on each table to spice the tacos. There is a little patio at the front. Excellent cheap lunch/snack place for the chowhound!
As an aside, the market finally has an all-organic store that carries great selection of produce and meat. Also on Augusta.
