El Coyote,F train last stop [179th-exit at the far rear of the train, ascend and it's there].
This place has not appeared for a while.
It's a lovely little mexican place; I had deferred posting on it since I went there for lunch a while back and specials were posted - I like a light lunch only and indeed the snappera Veracruz was a huge platter and outstanding but I did not like the entree price of $19.99.
Well,I recovered from the sticker shock and discovered there is an excellent LUNCH MENU - about 18 items with $$4.75-7.75 range.
First, there are very nice people. Today, they had a table full of Chinese in convivial repast.
Then, there is chips and nutritious and excellent salsa free.
There is a salad as option- the salad is delightful, fresh, colorful, very light dressing, even filling.
Several times I have Item 21 of the Lunch menu - chicken filet drenched in a delicious tomato based sauce with poblano, jalapeno ̃,onions.Quite a kick and all this salsa, salad for 5.75$.
Now,as I've said there is an extensive dinner menu with what seems really high class stuff, snapper, shrimp, lobster etc.
The only thing that's not high class is the prices.
BTW,it's three stops on the F Line from the Queens courthouses and two stops from the great Merrick Blvd Branch of the QUEENS LIBRARY - my!! what a place this is!!
