El Chipotle Taqueria | Soquel, Santa Cruz County

Melanie Wong | Nov 19, 201803:32 PM

In July I asked a friend to pick a spot near her office for our business lunch meeting. She suggested El Chipotle Taqueria in Soquel commenting that it's "not that Chipotle", rather a friendly family-owned Mexican eatery.

Good choice, I enjoyed my chicken tinga plate, $9.99, with shredded chicken in a moderately piquant chipotle sauce with braised onions, and carefully prepped rice and beans garnished with a dab of guac and sour cream. Service staff are family members and very attentive. This is a sweet little place.
