I eat a lot of eggs, three eggs over easy (runny yolks) daily. I generally buy eggs @ Costco or my local supermarket but I occasionally buy organic or super fresh eggs from someone locally who keeps chickens. I taste no difference in these eggs. I see the difference, the whites don't spread as much in the fresher eggs but I don't think I or most anyone could tell the difference in a blind taste test. I know many Chowhounders make special trips to get local eggs but why, is it to support local farmers or for health reasons?
