I saw a Throwdown with Bobby Flay episode on Food Network the other day where Bobby Flay competes against this guy on Arthur Avenue that supposedly has some killer eggplant parm. I must say, it like really good, and since I'm visiting NYC next weekend, I wanted to check it out. Did anyone else see this episode and remember what shop it was?
Slightly related, the breaded eggplant is really nice and crispy after it is fried, but then it seems like mixing it with marinara must make it mushy and soggy. Is this not the case? I've never had eggplant parmesan before.
