I had dinner at Efendi recently. This is part of my attempt to diversify my range of restaurants visited.
I had the tarama, which came with nice puffy bread-type. The tarama is a dish I had previously considered tasty at Efendi, and this revisit did not change that assessment. The black olive in the middle of the tarama presentation was unnecessary.
However, the meat balls entree (possibly one of the daily specials) was very poor. There were only four smallish beef balls for a $9.50 entree, and they were drenched in an institutional-tasting, purportedly tomato-flavored, orangish-colored sauce. The potato chunks accompanying the beef balls suffered because of the sauce.
