My wife and I enjoyed a nice meal at the Southdale PFC's, but I walked away from the place with a weird feeling....like I was manipulated.
The decor is 'trendy', the food is good, but the whole experience had this "lets pack in a bunch of rube suburbanites who wouldn't know authentic if their life depended on it" kind of feel to it.
I know that's not exactly a detailed review, but the vibe stayed with me LONG after the meal, which I'll admit was pretty tasty.
I just cringe when I think about all the Suzie Soccermoms out there who think they can avoid that 'dangerous' Eat Street, pack the kids into the Caravan, and go to Southdale for an authentic experience! Yikes.
Sorry to dampen your sunny day with my negativity, but I was wondering what others think about this chain.....and these 'upscale' chains in general.
