On the Chicago board, there have been some postings related to a local Southeast Asian restaurant that serves such exotic meats as rattle snake and black bear. Question: because bear can be hunted in your area (I think), I'm guessing that some people in the Pacific Northwest actually eat the meat. My question: have you ever seen black bear on a menu? If this is a super naive question (like if, for instance, it's actually illegal to hunt black bear), don't hesitate to let me know.
Incidentally, if you've eaten black bear yourself, how was it prepared and what did you think of it?
