Take the "Eating I-5" Challenge

Doc | May 19, 2002 01:10 AM

Fellow Chowhounds:
Requests for good food ideas along the I-5 corridor have been met with the continuing debate over taking 99 or 101. Calling all Chowhounds to this challenge: mapping the I-5 foodway in small, focused segments. If you are not up to the task of finding eateries along the whole length of your drive, why not find a small stretch or town that you can dig into, get local advice and sample a couple places. We have a few fellow C-H's who will "steak"-out Gustine, Gorman, Coalinga, Los Banos and a few others. Please join us and help out your fellow hounds by claiming a small piece of the I-5 waistland. There really may not be any place to eat on I-5, but lets prove it once and for all! Expect this to take a while, so if you can't get out on the road for a couple of weeks or months, no problem, just post your findings when you can. Good Luck and safe eating!
