Ed's Gourmet looks neglected and unloved. Situated next door to the South Bay's great Middle Eastern market, International Bazaar, it proclaims the area's best teriyaki and burgers. It was empty when i went in and the lone man behind the counter looked pretty bored. But he was helpful and led me to a teriyaki beef
cheesesteak sandwich. The sandwich was a lovely comingling of thin strips of very lean and tender beef, onions, melted cheese stuff, mayo piled onto a
soft-ish white roll. Very good. It was gone before I knew it. They also offer teriyaki chicken, pork and beef platters with rice, burgers and udon.
