We webt to the East Side Restaurant in New Britain. It had been recommended to me by many friends. It was a lot of fun, but the food is just awful and it is rather expensive ($210 with tax and tip while drinking beer). The tick tocky chanting, the hats and the whole German atmosphere are really fun and unique. But they food is not close to being professionally prepared. I tried the Jager Schniztel and though it was a joke. The cutlet had clearly been sitting in a warming bin for many moons, the spaetzel was the worst I have ever had and the side veggies were reminiscent of a very bad Catholic school cafeteria. Too bad because it is so much fun.
Maybe I will just drink the beer if I go back!
