Went to East Buffet, the Elmhurst one, for lunch yesterday. This is the second time I've been for lunch, and it was very different that the first time. The first time I went, there was a small island station for soups between the sushi area and the rear, and the center rear station featured peking duck and other carved to order meats. This time the former soup area was filled with fried dim sum, and the carved items were replaced with a variety of cauldrons of soups. Where the assorted dim sum and stir fried items were before had become the area for steamed dim sum and some pre-carved duck and spare ribs. The food was still very good, but somehow less lavish than my previous visit. Does anyone know if there has been a policy change, or if the offerings and stations change randomly (or on schedule) from day to day? I know there are differences between weekend and weekday, and between lunch and dinner, but both times I went for lunch was on a weekday. Have their also been changes to the dinner buffet?
