East Bay: Elio's in San Leandro

John Bakker | Oct 25, 200212:24 AM

This is a solid diner. I work in San Leandro and one of my coworkers turned me on to it. It is owned by a greek family, as is another similar place, the County Way, which is in Fremont. Menu is of a spectacular size and has all your favorites. Try the fruit salad. It's big enough for a meal, people. I often go with the diet plate: sirloin (they have other meat choices) with cottage cheese and sliced tomatoes and peaches. Tasty.) The blue hairs populate the place from 4 to 6 pm and at lunch on weekdays.

Address is 260 Floresta Blvd. , cross street is Washington.

Country Way is on Mowry off the 880 in Fremont.
