Every week you read about great new restaurants opening in Chelsea, meatpacking, LES, East Village etc. But what happened to the East 50's? Lutece closed, and more recently Billy's, a restaurant for 50+ years closed on First and 52St. I am not saying that these restaurnt didn't date themselves. BUT, no new restaurants open.
Help, if you know a good chef, tell him to open something in this area, the people are starving for good food.
