Early crawfish season woes

Word in the Br Advocate today that the crop is looking dismal. Appears that there have been several circumstances contributing to a bad year (e.g.Gustav). Legendary Tony's Seafood in B.R. was only getting a paltry few sacks from the Ville Platte area. Of course, the Gloom & Doom after katrina and Rita was not as bad as predicted then, especially when the ponds north of The Zone of Death came in but this one appears to be worse. On the other hand, it may be like cane farmers who NEVER have a good year and are always losing money....anyway, there it is for what its worth...
