We will be attending the California State Honor Choir concert at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium this Saturday (the 15th), which starts at 2 and probably will be over by 4. We then are hoping to have an early dinner nearby, so the geographically scattered extended family can visit over good food. Is it reasonable to expect good service (and good food)at such an early hour? We are interested especially in SGV good Chinese food- but from posts on this board, I am concerned that Ocean Star in particular would not be likely to have good service for a big group at an odd hour. We are not wedded to the idea of Chinese food, but since the group comes from the South Bay, PV, Boston, Malibu, West Valley, this does seem an opportune time to take advantage of proximity to SGV. (We also want to "show off" to the Boston branch of the family how fabulous food in So Cal can be (cheap fabulous would be the best). Your thoughts/recommendations are much apprecitaed.
