Driving from Memphis to Jackson, MS to New Orleans

For some reason, I posted this yesterday and I can't find it!

Am looking for great places on the road to eat. Am starting in Memphis, driving to Jackson and then onto New Orleans. Dives, roadside BBQ, anything appreciated! I'm a New Yorker looking for authentic foodie experience.
