New drink recipe (for me): Firecracker Martini

Produce Addict | Jul 11, 200603:04 PM

Made this drink last night http://www.amny.com/entertainment/am-... (scroll down) and thought it was quite tasty. Bascially it has vodka, dry vermouth, orange bitters, hot sauce, lemon, smoked paprika, S & P. Never seen smoked paprika in a drink recipe before, but it really worked! And it wasn't too hot, in fact it was a touch sweet (not sure if that is from the orange bitters or the lemon). Think it would work with gin instead of vermouth?

Oh one change we made to the recipe: by mistake we added the spices to the shaker instead of rimming the glass with them. But I assume the result would be similar.
