Dried Fig Shortage?

eleeper | Mar 29, 201507:37 AM     18

Is there some reason I can't find dried figs anywhere? Well, maybe not anywhere, but Costco seems to have discontinued the Calmyrna figs, and my local supermarket (ShopRite) doesn't have *any* figs in the dried fruit section.

Does anyone know if there has been a "fig blight" or something? Is this a seasonal problem? Or what?

Conversely, can anyone suggest where I might find (reasonably priced) dried figs? (My husband likes to eat them as a staple, so we don't want to pay gourmet prices for them.)
