Drake - lunch

I just came back from the Drake for lunch. It's across from my work, and I'm relocating, so I thought I'd give it another try while I'm still in the 'hood. For the price, I was a little disappointed.
We decided to have lunch in the lounge, to have the full experience. I had the burger, since the server said it was the best in Toronto (which I've read). I'm not burger connoisseur, but I do have taste buds and this one certainly wasn't stimulating them . Perhaps it was the dryness of the small patty? The Oka cheese is a nice touch, perhaps the only thing that saved it. What bugs me is that over in the cafe, the same burger is $10, but $14 in the lounge. Same with a few of the other items.
My companion had the Parkdale sandwich, something that reminded me of the heart attack burger at Dangerous Dan's - sliced smoked turkey, avocado, bacon, brie and a fried egg. A huge sandwich, served with nice fries, but otherwise nothing special.
I expected more, and have been to the Drake during Winterlicious and was quite impressed. There are planty of gems in this area that are better priced, with just as tasty, if not tastier food (ie. Swan, my fave, and Caju).
So two sandwiches and a beer, with tax and tip was $40. Yikes.
