Went to the branch on Tower Bridge Road.
Big selection of beers, bottles and on tap.
Roast goose was excellent - crispy skin and flavoursome flesh, boiled vegetables (brussels sprouts, carrots, broccoli iirc) that were fresh, tender and snappy, a tart cranberry compote, and smooth thick glossy and rich gravy.
Pleasant burger, fairly massive, juicy and deeply beefy/meaty, with satisfying chips. Besides the usual lettuce/tomato, there was also a slice of beetroot (an antipodean influence?). Great with a smoky Schlenkerla Rauchbier, a recommended pairing.
An enjoyable apple tart with a nice flaky crust.
Not Bull and Last great, but excellent nevertheless, definitely one of the best pub options in the area for beer range and food quality (I liked it more than the Garrison).
