thanks - Dr. Praeger's veggieburgers

Thanks to the chowhound who mentione Dr. Praeger's veggieburgers, available from Trader Joe's.

I had a minor obsession with veggieburgers once. I have had BocaBurgers (eh.) I have had Gardenburgers (passably pleasant.) I have had Annie's burgers (enjoyable).

All of these seem small and unworthwhile, compared to Dr. Praeger's. Which is: a tasty pattie filled with large, flavorful hunks of many different vegetables. I think part of it is that it has no pretenses of being beef-like, and revels in its own veggie-burger-hood.

Anyway, the TexMex Dr. Praeger's - great. #1 choice for homebound minorly crippled graduate students seeking to nourish themselves with something tasty while frantically grading.

Given that, for a while, the only frozen food I could stand was frozen La Indiana Tamales, I think my body welcomes this happy lardless thing.
