Downtown Mexican

Sharonanne | Feb 24, 200509:20 AM

We've been to LA a few times but not spent much time downtown. This time (March 12-15) we're staying downtown near Little Tokyo (I'm an art student and wanted some place central for museums and galleries) We have a car. We love Mexican and usually just follow our noses to a hole in the wall place. Being Canadian we don't know a lot about it but we like what we've had especially wet burritoes. We've been to Olvera but it's pretty touristy although there may be a good one hidden in there somewhere. The bottom line is, do you recommend any Mexican place downtown, near the LA County Museum or the Getty?

I've read the other posts and have ideas about other kinds of food downtown but couldn't find anything about this specific topic. I'd also be interested in suggestions for fish tacoes as I'd like to try them.
