Dosa Diner -- JH

Hellkatte | Apr 23, 2004 04:07 PM

Had a quick bite at Dosa Diner last night.

The masala potato dosa was terrific. Crepe was crispy on the outside while retaining some pliability on the inside. Potato filling was good, too. The chutneys that accompanied were very flavorful: Tomato, cilantro (omg!), and coconut. The sambal was also, surprisingly good. I often end up with very watery sambal in most places.

The service could not have been any more pleasant and efficient.

Menu is short. There is a section for uttapam and a section for dosa, each are construct your own. There is also a page of appetizers that offers: iddly, an assortment of vada, a few soups, 2 spring rolls. More interesting is the back of the menu where they offer Indian/Chinese with a rice section and a noodle section. The noodle section has an item called Hakka Noodles. Could be very interesting. But as of last night, that page of the menu is not yet active. It also notes that these items are only served on nights and weekends.
