Don's Green Hills Inn -Reading Area

Under current management the Inn is one of the few, perhaps two, options for anything in that area that comes even close to fine dining. The venue, once past the fuel station next, is quite nice with a pleasant interior. The server was attentive and professional. Our only issue with decorum was that an owner swooped in to remove plates with out asking and reached across my guest to take his uneaten bread. My entree, diver scallops, was quite average, but good. My guest's duck entree was noted to being the best duck breast he has had in years. A special salad that evening was indeed special. My desert call a cobbler was unlike any cobbler I have ever had, blueberry compote with hard granola crumbles, disgusting. It was removed from the bill. With our room almost empty, although another room did have more diners, the bill was deposited on the table by the same owner with the reach across and with no inquiry as to if there was anything else or as to how we found the food. The prices are high especially for that area and probably moderately high if in a big city. Fine dining, well not really but I applaud their attempt at bringing a higher level of food and service to their area.
