Don Chicho's dowhill?

I went at 5pm today. They were out of a lot of stuff (chicken empanadas included). The parillada was welldone instead of medium. The waiter (who is very nice) said that I could substitute a sausage for chinculines (tripe, ick). When the order came the chinchulines were there and the owner said he wouldn't sub it even though the waiter had said ok. Now i was stuck looking at the things and throwing them out. If he had said no originally I would have ordered somethign else.

The owner was grumpy,a nd really wasn't nice to me. All these years I ahve dealt with the waiter and waitress and not the owner. I don't like the way I ws treated, so after bring a dozen people there, and recommending it many times, I'm wondering if I should stop going. My friends and I are the only Ameicans I ever see there,a nd I am getting teh feeling that I was treated badly because I don't speak Spanish.

Anyway...the question is:

Has anyone else had problems with the food and owner lately? Was it just an offday for the food and owner?
