I'm hoping to take my husband to a terrific 45th birthday dinner, somewhere attractive and hip but not uncomfortably trendy (I'm interested in the food and decor, don't necessarily want to battle the "scene-sters," or deal with snotty hostesses...)
Recent "special occasion" dinners we've loved have been at Nobu, Chaya and Cinch. Looking for something similar near the westside, Venice or West Hollywood... preferably Italian, creative American or Asian.
Any opinions on Dolce, Katana or Mako? Sushi Roku on 3rd? Maple Drive? These are all places I'm considering.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!!
