I live in New York city and am very much spoiled by the restaurants here. My parents live in Philadelphia and love Django. I went there this past summer. I was hoping to love it, but must say, I was a bit disappointed. I thought the bread was a bit yeasty tasting. The first course -- smoked scallops with lentils -- was oily and not too flavorful. The halibut with a corn pudding for a main was better, but the halibut was overcooked. The corn pudding was delicious however. Desserts were at most average. The blackberry tart was not really too good. Of course, the cheese was the most fantanstic cheese course that I have ever had -- even better than Paris. I am thinking of going back again but fear that I may be disappointed. Was my dinner representative? Am I being too critical?
