Well, I have to say the title may be misleading since most of the dinner was good. My dinner was fine with a trio of duck salad, breast, confit and foie grois, all of which was excellent. Main course of Veal Tenderloin although not spectacular, was good. The desert of chocolate mousse was good, although there was alot! The presentation was nice as it was a large heart shape. My wife's lobster bisque was excellent as well. My main disspointment came with my wife's main course. She orderded the "Vegeatarian Special - Chef's Choice"
Well, let's just say there was nothing special about this course at all. It was a plate of scalloped potatoes, roasted spinich, and grilled vegetables. That's it. No sauces, no nothing. This wouldn't have even been that bad if the scalloped potatoes and spinich were the EXACT same sides on my veal dish. This was an utterly uninspired and disspointing dish for a "fine dining" establishment, especially one as loved by many as Corner House. It was a dish of side dishes and when I expressed my disspointment to the waiter he just kinda joked it off which made me even more annoyed. We were having a great Valentine's day up until this point. I don't have much else to say other than I just needed to vent! Thanks for sitting through that!!! :)
