When we left last week for New York we had no intention of eating in Little Italy so I performed no preparatory due diligence. But after slightly disappointing meals at favorites Cantoon Garden and East Ocean and Yummy Noodles, on the way to our final dinner in town we decided to veer left at Mulberry instead of right and headed into Little Italy. Faced with umpteen choices and growling stomachs we ended up at Casa Bella on Mulberry at Hester based on some interesting sounding entrees. Unfortunately, we hit the hat trick with this establishment--mediocre food, that was overpriced and small portions, with less than friendly service to boot. So my question is next time we decide to dine in Little Italy, where should we go?
