Disappointing meal at Peking Restaurant in Westminster

Hilary | Jan 31, 200203:45 PM     7

Well, let me begin by saying that I have had my fair share of great Chinese food (my SO's parents live in Taipei) and I was really looking forward to eating at Peking based on some reviews here. Unfortunately, I found that (a) the food is far superior in Rowland/Hacienda Heights and (b) I can get much better Chinese food right here in Irvine, where I live. We had the onion "pancake" rolled with meat (which the waitress highly recommended over the plain onion pancake). It might not have been that bad except for the fact that the meat was doused with some sweet sauce. The potstickers were ok -- but much better at other places. The boiled dumplings were, again, ok and the noodle dish highly mediocre. I guess it really is worth driving to RH for food.
