Disappointing afternoon tea (SEA)

Susan | Jun 7, 200302:23 AM     1

Was underwhelmed by afternoon tea at the Georgian last weekend. The treats were not nearly as tasty as those we have had in Victoria, B.C. and Vancouver (the cream for the scones seemed like it was only a tiny step above cool whip) There was a skimpy amount of food for $25 each. Though we had a reservation, were appropriately dressed, and the dining room had about 4 parties in it, the host seated us between a bus station and the cash register. And, despite the fact that they had 3 waiters on - service was slooow! (In particular, we waited for someone to appear and take our money for a good 10 minutes. Grrrrr.) If tea is any indication, the Georgian is vastly overrated. Does anyone have recommendations for an alternative place for tea?
