I know it's gotten so-so reviews of late, but we had both eaten there separately about a year ago and had very good meals, so when my husband & I were looking for a light bite before going to the Mark Taper we decided to take a chance.
We sat at the bar, had a drink, and since neither of us was ravenously hungry, decided on just two appetizers - crab cakes & chile.
The crab cakes were probably the worst I've ever had - mushy and tasteless. The chile was okay, but should have been called beef stew - there was no heat, and no chile flavor.
It's a shame - it's a great-looking room, nice atmosphere and all, but I doubt that we'll bother again.
