Two dinners, so many options

FoodDude2 | Sep 14, 201804:58 AM

Alright fellow hounds. My brother and I are heading to New Orleans in December for a little trip and we need some help on our last two meals. We have both been to New Orleans once with our spouses but this time it’s just the guys having a fun weekend.

We already have plans to eat a brunch at Brennan’s, lunch at Willie Maes and Mr. B’s Bistro, and dinner at Jaque Imos.

We are thinking of having a dinner or two at the old classics: Antoine’s, Gallitoires or Arnauds. Is there an obvious pick between them? They all seem to serve similar menus and reviews for them seem to range from amazing classical food to terrible experiences.

We are also torn on our last meal. We are considering Peche, Cochon, R’volution, Brigstens, and Toups. My brother has eaten at Brigstens (loved it) but the rest would all be new places for us. While I know places like Compere Lapin and LPG are likely great meals, they seem more like places we would go with our wives than a brother type meal. Is there an obvious choice or two for these options. I don’t see us wanting to share a bunch of small plates which is a common theme these days but we will still order a few apps and entrees. At the end of the day, we are most concerned with having the most delicious meal. Which would you pick out of these or is there somewhere else we should consider?

Mr. B's Bistro,
Antoine's Restaurant,
Pêche Seafood Grill,
Restaurant R'evolution,
