Dinner after the Zoo

elliora | Jun 9, 2009 07:43 AM

So we will be heading to the SF Zoo for my daughter's 4th birthday (to see the kangaroos of course for anyone who has read my other posts) The plan was to go to the zoo in the early afternoon and then get dinner at 5pm when the zoo closes so we can wait out traffic before heading back over the bridge. Not being really familiar with SF is there a certain area that would be best to stick to, since I'm assuming the traffic in SF would be brutal at 5.
Besides the traffic issue the place needs to be cheap, not too sketchy of an area for my daughter, but we don't need it to be too kid friendly, she is well behaved and eats everything. So far I had in mind Beijing Restaurant and a tapas place (forget the name) that i saw here on the good value thread. Open to anything that is truly great though and that we won't get in the Walnut Creek area (which is most everything!) thanks!
