This will be our 4th New Orleans trip, the third we have taken with our children, now ages 4 and 7.
Last trip we brought a sitter, so that we could try some of the fine dining establishments (we LOVE Bayona).
This time we will be without a sitter, staying near Jackson Square without a car (but willing to cab it) Some of the days will be the first weekend of Jazz Fest.
We have done Jazz Fest with the kids before and found that we needed some decent dinner spots after we returned to the quarter and cleaned up a bit.
First and foremost we are looking for good food. We like any and all ethnic cuisines, and of course the local fare.
The kids dont need a kids menu, in fact they usually dont like the choices on kids menus. We need places that are loud (or at least not quiet), that serve relatively quickly, and wont be put out that there are kids at the table. One place that worked for us last trip was Napoleon House.
