We're hoping someone in the Philly metro area can help with a short notice need for Saturday night (August 14).
Will be leaving the Port Washington Exhibition Center around 6 p.m. Saturday via shuttle to hotel in Conshohosken to drop off items gathered at a trade show. Then we'd like to go into Philly for Saturday night dinner.
Not expensive, not cheap. Not corporate. Not big time trendy, media-hyped star chef. Something "typically" Philadelphia would be good. Seafood would be good. Italian would be good. Not a steakhouse. Historic area would be fine. Price range $20-30 each plus a couple of drinks. Something three gals would enjoy. Not the club or flirting scene.
Will we need reservations and can they be gotten on short notice for Saturday night?
Need a safe area accessible by mass transit or cab.
Also would be interested in dining options either in the area of Port Washington or Conshohosken for dinners on Sunday and Monday night. Probably not as pricey as Saturday night's dinner. A terrific little diner or cafe or ethnic places in either of those areas would work very well.
We won't be able to check here for recommendations until late afternoon Saturday but hope some of you kind folks have some good recommendations for us.
Thanks in advance.
