Dinner at M&S Grill

Leo Scanlon | Mar 31, 2003 12:43 PM

You might recall that I'm the guy who started a thread last week, asking for comments about the M&S Grill in downtown DC. We went last night, party of 5, and they seated us in one of their mini-rooms, with a curtain on the door. Ideal for folks who want to chat a lot, as we did. The place is very attractive, with dark woods all over.

Food and service were excellent, and the prices were reasonable for DC. I had the 12-oz. prime rib, which came with a vegetable medley (green beans, asparagus, potatoes, and carrots), a Sunday special at $16.95. It was prepared just as I ordered (medium-rare) and was very tasty. Others had parmesan-crusted halibut, pasta with shrimp and scallops, shepherd's pie, and crabcakes. Everybody enjoyed their choice. Desserts were very good, too. We plan to go back sometime.
