Dinner after Grace Cathedral Concert AND cheap and sleazy fish house in Half Moon Bay

Oakland Barb | Nov 30, 200307:57 PM     2

Because we have such good food in the East Bay (and I'm lazy and find the bridge somewhat of a psychological barrier) we don't eat in the City often any more. When we do, we sort of stick to the same old Slow Club for an "I feel so old, but this is fun" evening or Piperade or Scala for a frenetic Union Square thing. The concert is out early and we generally try to bide our time drinking in a hotel bar until dinner time- suggestions for this also appreciated. I'd love some place fun AND good for food. Doesn't have to be in the area, I'm happy to travel but might as well stay west!
As far as Half Moon Bay is concerned- it's my 21st anniversary this week and we'll spend the night there Wednesday but I have no interest in the "fine dining experience". Good crab would be just swell. Have I covered too many bases here?
