My husband and I had dinner on Friday at this new seafood restaurant which took over Tin's. We ordered an appetizer plate of salted fish, minced chicken and fried tofu, which was less than $6 yet was quite a large plate. The tofu cubes were very small, yet fried just right, with a soft texture inside. Excellent with white rice. We also got salt & pepper crab for $12.99, red wine oxtail claypot, $8.75 and a large plate of large pea leaves, $10. The crab was fresh, not overly large, but sweet and the batter was just right. The only quibble I had was the batter on the underside of the shell was a little too thick for my taste and got in the way of my enjoying the tomalley. The oxtail was fine, though I like the version at the Peony restaurant better. As with most places, the oxtail gets splintered into small pieces as opposed to being cooked joint by joint. The pea shoots were tasty and less oily than at other places, which I liked. Service was efficient, though it was not at all busy at 8 pm. Next time I would bring more people to try a banquet menu.
