Dinner at Ginger

After reading all those Ginger posts, my husband and I went there on Friday. We had sushi for two which included salmon, tuna, yellowtail, white tuna, bbq eel, and two special rolls (Rock n' Roll: spicy tuna and cucumber). (We told the waiter our sushi preference so the chef made it to our taste) Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was very good. The room was very nice, zen-like. Too bad it was just us and a group of 4 Japanese women. I told the owner that I found out about Ginger on chowhound and he said that someone else told him that too. He was a very friendly guy. Anyways, the dinner was very reasonable. With apps, drinks, and main course our tab came out to $51. And we were stuffed! They gave us ginger ice cream on the house -- yum!

I would definitely go back. This place deserves to get more business. It's on 1st Avenue btwn 6 and 7th Streets.
