I dined at EAT with 3 other people and I had the opportunity to sample several dishes. I had been looking forward to going there for a long while but I was sadly disappointed. Not one of the dishes was anything special really. We started with our waiter's recommendation, the fig and blue cheese torte which was just strange, and not in a good way.
We all had the Caesar salad , which was probably the tastiest of the dishes. I tried the chicken fried steak, which had a unappealing spice to it. The red beans and rice were decent. The gumbo had a nice flavor but it wasn't anything spectacular. The veggie pasta was bland. The crawfish pie was a mess and the macaroni and cheese was boring. I was truly disappointed.
We didn't get a chance to try any of the desserts but they probably were better than the meal.
I don't plan on going back to EAT anytime soon although I'd be curious about their brunch.
