Had a very good dinner at Eleven Madison Park. I had the Gourmand menu while the Mrs. has the Aquatic. We started with an amuse bouche which consisted of 4 amuses... a tuna , a fried sweetbread, an oyster w/cucumber gelee and another which escapes me... a good start. Than an complimentary course from the chef, a tomato, vegetable based soup w/lobster and calamari... excellent. And another complimentary course, the Mrs. had a mini fennel salad while I had the roasted beet sald, both were excellent. The Mrs. Aquatic menu consisted of

Nova Scotia Lobster
Butter Poached with Puree of carrots, English Peas and Mountain Mint
Poached Aiguillette with Saffron Fumet and "Fleur de Courgette Farcie

All were very good.
A few desserts and petite fours and 2.5 hours later and we were quite happy. Had an interesting conversation w/Mitchell, FOH manager, but will elaborate later.
