What's for Dinner #363 - The Merrie Month of May Edition [through May 12, 2015]

roxlet | May 5, 201504:57 PM     419

It has been just lovely out these last few days, not withstanding slightly warm and muggy weather today. Just about all our flowering trees have bloomed -- the cherry trees, the redbud, the plum, and both the pink and white dogwoods. The lilac bush is bearing an extra heavy load of flowers this year, and my Chinese tree peonies look set to bloom for Mother's Day. The scent outside is intoxicating, and would be more so if I wasn't sniffling!

For Cinco de Mayo tonight I made some white bean chili. While not Mexican exactly, it definitely felt like the right meal on the right day.

What's on your table this merrie month of May?
