I'm arranging a dinner for 30 - 40 people in New Orleans in January. The group is staying on Canal St., so a restaurant in the French Quarter or Central Business District would be ideal. I'm open to other neighborhoods, if it's the right place. Budget around $50 a head, not including alcohol. I'd love any advice anyone has on restaurants that do a good job of handling large groups. If possible, I'd like to offer the diners more than just 1 or 2 entrees to choose from and would like them to be able to specify how they want items cooked (e.g. medium, rare, no butter). I've learned from experience that restaurants that can provide a great experience for 2-4 diners, can be a nightmare for a large party. I appreciate in advice or feedback you can provide. Thanks!
